San Ramon Valley has gone 8-2 against California recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Grizzlies at 7:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
San Ramon Valley barely beat Amador Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves blew past the Dons 41-14 on Friday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Cole Dawes was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. He is becoming a predictor of San Ramon Valley's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Owen Power, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
California not only won last Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 42-14). They put the hurt on Livermore with a sharp 44-20 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Grizzlies had established a 21-point advantage.
A big part of California's victory came down to the chemistry between Banerjee Arjun and his top target Luke Taylor. Arjun threw for 163 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes while Taylor gained 164 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Taylor a new career-high in receiving yards (130). Henry Dupin made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to California's defense and their three sacks. Maka Lauti refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Dupin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
San Ramon Valley's record now sits at 5-2. As for California, their record is now 6-0.
Everything came up roses for San Ramon Valley against California in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 35-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
