Scott has gone a perfect 4-0 against Tolsia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Skyhawks will challenge the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Scott is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Scott will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against WestSide on Friday. The Skyhawks blew past the Renegades 12-1. The win continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their matchups with the Renegades: they've now won six in a row.
Carter McClung and Jacob Carrico made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, McClung tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Carrico tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. McClung has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one hit in ten consecutive appearances. At the plate, McClung went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Carrico went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two hits gave Carrico a new career-high.
In other batting news, Louden White was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Blayne Kuhn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Scott always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as WestSide only posted an OBP of .263.
Meanwhile, Tolsia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They came up short against Fairview, falling 8-1.
Bray Mollette made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Gage Williamson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Scott's record is now 18-6-2. As for Tolsia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.
Everything went Scott's way against Tolsia in their previous meeting back in April, as Scott made off with a 20-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skyhawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
