The Ayersville Pilots will be playing at home against the Wauseon Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ayersville will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, Ayersville gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on Antwerp with a sharp 48-25 victory. Given Ayersville's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Archers are ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ally Schindler, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Craft, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Wauseon, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-39 loss to the Patriots on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wauseon in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.
Ayersville's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Wauseon, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.
Things could have been worse for Ayersville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-39 loss to the Indians in their previous matchup back in December of 2019.
