The Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies will face off against Hill City/Northland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over Hinckley-Finlayson. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brooklyn Orazem was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] got a massive performance out of Paige Strecker, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aria Mueller, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Hill City/Northland had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bluestreaks as they made off with a 15-1 victory. Hill City/Northland might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Hill City/Northland pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
