Fountain-Fort Carson couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. Fountain-Fort Carson weren't too far behind, but the team still lost 6-12 to Horizon last Saturday. The contest was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but Fountain-Fort Carson was outplayed in the second half.
Eaglecrest had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Highlands Ranch with a 18-12 win.
Eaglecrest's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Fountain-Fort Carson's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Eaglecrest can add another positive mark to their record or if Fountain-Fort Carson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Eaglecrest's step.
