Northside faced Fayetteville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 Northside took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-8,  15-13.
 Paisley Hogan paced Northside's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hogan got some help from  Kamdyn Flemming and her 26 assists. Finally,  Morgan Sanger kept Northside's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Northside dropped their record down to 18-18 with the  loss, which was their seventh straight  on the road. As for Fayetteville, their victory bumped their record up to 23-5.
 Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayetteville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  3-2  win against Central on the 28th.
