Fairfield is on a three-game streak of home losses, Buffalo a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Fairfield Eagles will take on the Buffalo Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Fairfield pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 75-62 to Teague. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), Fairfield still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Buffalo was beaten by Mexia 108-49 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Buffalo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1244th, while Mexia is ranked 388th).
Fairfield has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season. As for Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-21.
Fairfield strolled past Buffalo when the teams last played back in January by a score of 71-54. Does Fairfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Buffalo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
