Softball Recap: Munford Wins Going Away Against Covington

Munford won the last time they faced Covington and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cougars blew past the Chargers 14-3. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Munford got a massive performance out of Ellie Kate Billings, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Griffin, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Munford hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.

Munford's record is now 10-8-1. As for Covington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Munford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
