Beau Friesen and Cooper Vais were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Friesen pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Vais tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Friesen posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. At bat, Friesen got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Vais went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Friesen has become a key player for Arvada West: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Levi Lueck, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Brayden Reiner was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one triple and one RBI.
Arvada West's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Ralston Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 8-3.
