The Manchester Greyhounds had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 50-26 margin over Clay. Manchester's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophia Craft, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Emma Emnett was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Manchester's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10. As for Clay, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-6.
Manchester will take on Fayetteville-Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Fayetteville-Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday. As for Clay, they will head out on the road to take on Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glenwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
