The Stratford Red Devils pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Amity Regional by a score of 58-55. Stratford was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Amity Regional apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Amity Regional can attribute much of their success to Collin Tenney, who scored 23 points. Tyler Wethington was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Stratford now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Amity Regional, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Stratford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Joel Barlow at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
