The High Point Academy Grizzlies suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 51-27 defeat at the hands of Southside Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points High Point Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, High Point Academy still got an impressive performance from Chantel Lyles, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Lyles is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Little, who scored five points.
This is the second loss in a row for High Point Academy and nudges their season record down to 13-5. As for Southside Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Point Academy will play host again and welcome Brashier Middle College Charter, where tip off is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Brashier Middle College Charter is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Southside Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph's Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph's Catholic is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
