Calvary found their leader in underclassman Luke Blackford, who scored 30 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Blackford has scored at least 25% of Calvary's points. Another player making a difference was Reese Huffman, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Calvary's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary will take on Mt. Olive at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Olive is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Althoff Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
