Natalie Kopf spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Avery McNulty, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. Claire Lansberry was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Kenmore West not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024 (when they won 11-4). Everything went their way against Lockport as they made off with an 18-12 win. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Kenmore West let Ally Foglia and Delaney Kenerson run wild. Foglia got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Kenerson went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Vuich, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Kenmore West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grand Island has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Kenmore West, though, as they've been averaging 11.3 hits. Given Grand Island's sizable advantage in that area, the Blue Devils will need to find a way to close that gap.
Grand Island took their win against Kenmore West in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
