The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights lost against the Central Mountain Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Neumann Regional Academy took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Neumann Regional Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 459th, while the Wildcats are ranked 220th).
Several Golden Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyrick Moy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Moy is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Messiah Baldwin, who scored 17 points.
Central Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Hoy, who scored 21 points along with three steals. Brady Myers was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Neumann Regional Academy and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Central Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neumann Regional Academy will take on the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Montgomery is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Central Mountain, they will play host again and welcome the Seals, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
