Cam Pulkkinen and Gunner Truman did most of the damage at the plate: Pulkkinen went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Truman went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Carter Davis, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Oxford Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, while Hampden put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Messalonskee. The Broncos put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

In other batting news, Wyatt Allen was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Ashton O'Roak was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Hampden's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Oxford Hills, their win bumped their record up to 18-1.
Hampden's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oxford Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .384. It's a different story for Hampden, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Oxford Hills' hitters?
Oxford Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Hampden in their previous meeting back in April, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
