Johann Cardenas had a dynamite game for St. Thomas Catholic, rushing for 244 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. Cardenas was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
St. Pius X's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Joshua Mitchell, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, and Andrew Kirklin who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown.
