Garden Spot dropped down to 5-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell  28-21 to the Solanco Golden Mules. The Spartans were not able to make up for their  loss to the Golden Mules from their previous meeting  back in October of 2024.
 When it comes to explaining why Garden Spot lost, don't look at  Gabe Martin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 87 yards and two  TDs, and also threw for 71 yards and one  touchdown.
As for Solanco, the  victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.1 points on average over those games.
 Solanco's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Johnny Garcia led the charge by rushing for 110 yards and a pair of  scores. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eric (Cook) Koch, who picked up 73 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
As of now, neither Garden Spot nor Solanco have any future games scheduled.
