Colton Lucero Delivers Best Effort of Season
Pagosa Springs came up short on Thursday despite Colton Lucero delivering his best game to date. Lucero rushed for 400 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
This year, Lucero has averaged 23.5 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 16.
