Make it nine blowout wins for the Chillicothe Hornets this season. They breezed by East Buchanan on the road to the tune of 58-19. The win was nothing new for Chillicothe as they're now sitting on three straight.
Chillicothe's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Liz Oliver, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oliver has scored all season. Kayanna Cranmer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and two steals.
Chillicothe pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for East Buchanan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Chillicothe's road trip will continue as they head out to face Barstow at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Barstow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 409th, while Chillicothe is ranked 18th). As for East Buchanan, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Lafayette County at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
