There's no place like home for the Piedmont Academy Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Robert Toombs Christian Academy 46-19 at home. Given Piedmont Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Robert Toombs Christian Academy is ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Teagan Satterfield had an outrageously good game as she scored 18 points along with two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Holder, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Piedmont Academy pushed their record up to 15-9 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.
Piedmont Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-41 win vs. Westminster Christian Academy on the 9th. Robert Toombs Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
