The Ravenna Ravens lost against the Streetsboro Rockets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Ravenna was beaten by Streetsboro 56-17. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ravenna in their matchups with Streetsboro: they've now lost seven in a row.
Streetsboro can attribute much of their success to Naomi Benson, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Ella Kassan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Ravenna now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Streetsboro, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravenna will take on Coventry at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Streetsboro, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cloverleaf at 7:00 p.m.
