In what's become a running theme this season, the Quincy Blue Devils gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 47-24 margin over Quincy Notre Dame. The win was nothing new for Quincy as they're now sitting on six straight.
Quincy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Brown, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Brown hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. Taylor Fohey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Quincy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their loss ended a 28-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-4.
Quincy will head out on the road to take on the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alleman is on a eight-game streak of home wins, the Blue Devils a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Saukees at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Raiders are ranked 20th).
