Cypress Christian is 1-7 against Legacy Prep Christian Academy since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cypress Christian Warriors will stay at home for another game and welcome the Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
Back in December of 2023, Cypress Christian came up short against Fort Bend Christian Academy and fell 45-36.
Meanwhile, Legacy Prep Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 82-16 win over Logos Prep Academy at home. Legacy Prep Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Prep Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hailey Carr, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and six assists. That's the first time this season that Carr scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Steed, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals.
Cypress Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-4. As for Legacy Prep Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Cypress Christian came up short against Legacy Prep Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 47-34. Can Cypress Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
