The West Catholic Falcons put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Oakridge 45-0 at home. The result was nothing new for West Catholic, who have now won ten contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
West Catholic had a senior duo take command as Charlie DeBruyn gained 211 total yards and three touchdowns and Alek Wickstrom threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. Nolan Rinehart got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was West Catholic's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Oakridge's QB won't forget Ethan Stoner anytime soon given Stoner sacked him five times.
West Catholic's victory was their 14th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 11-0. As for Oakridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
West Catholic will face off against Catholic Central at TBD on Friday. Catholic Central will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. Oakridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
