The South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 24-23 to Michiana HomeSchool T. South Bend Career Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Michiana HomeSchool T apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November.
Despite the defeat, South Bend Career Academy saw an underclassman step up: Alana Wright scored six points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Paris Faber was another key contributor, scoring five points.
South Bend Career Academy bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Michiana HomeSchool T, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
South Bend Career Academy will be playing at home against Argos at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Argos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday. Michiana HomeSchool T does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
