On Thursday, Reno County HomeSchool didn't have too much trouble with Fairfield on the road as they won 36-21.
Leading Reno County HomeSchool to victory were Leila Goble and Megan Asberry. Goble scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Asberry scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Goble pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Fairfield's loss came despite strong showings from Erin Schwertfeger and Yareli Martinez. Schwertfeger scored four points along with nine steals, while Martinez scored five points along with three steals.
Reno County HomeSchool's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reno County HomeSchool will take on Flint Hills Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will be playing at home against Cunningham on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Cunningham is ranked 304th, while Fairfield is ranked 284th).
