The Pinnacle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yahir Chavira led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chavira has scored all season. Caleb Arellano was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
The Pinnacle's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Pinnacle will challenge DSST: Montview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DSST: Montview has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 742 points over their last ten contests. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they will head out on the road to face off against Sheridan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Sheridan is ranked 338th, while Arrupe Jesuit is ranked 317th).
