Fairmont Senior has gone 9-1 against East Fairmont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Polar Bears will be playing at home against the Bees at 6:00 p.m. Fairmont Senior will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
While Fairmont Senior's victory against Robert C. Byrd wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Polar Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Eagles on Monday. With that victory, the Polar Bears brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Kylo Dodd made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Talia Olivito, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Abigail Shuck was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Fairmont Senior always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Lewis County hit East Fairmont with a five-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bees came up short against the Minutemen, falling 12-4. The Bees have struggled against the Minutemen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Reese Van Zant and Sydney Baston did some serious damage despite the final result: Van Zant got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Baston went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
East Fairmont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fairmont Senior, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.
Fairmont Senior took their victory against East Fairmont in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-9 score. Do the Polar Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bees turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
