The Virgin Valley Bulldogs lost to the Lowry Buckaroos back in December of 2014, but the Virgin Valley Bulldogs didn't allow the Lowry Buckaroos the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Virgin Valley came out on top against Lowry by a score of 61-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Virgin Valley.
Leading Virgin Valley to victory were Elian Pinto and Cameron Spilker. Pinto scored nine points along with five steals, while Spilker scored 11 points. Pinto is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Malachi Davis, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Lowry still got an impressive performance from Kasyn Garner, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Garner scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Guzman, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Virgin Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Lowry, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing White Pine the next time they take the court. Lowry will head out to face White Pine at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, while Virgin Valley will host them at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
