If the North Canyon Rattlers were riding high off their 98-14 takedown of the Metro Tech Knights last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North Canyon took a hard 61-45 fall against McClintock on Thursday. North Canyon has not had much luck with McClintock recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava Adams, who scored 15 points along with seven steals. Adams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Schmidlin, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
McClintock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lamaiya Woodberry, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Woodberry has scored at least a third of McClintock's points. Jayla Baca was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.
North Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for McClintock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
