Basketball Recap: Kearney Has No Trouble Against Lincoln Northeast

Kearney won the last time they faced Lincoln Northeast and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Kearney Bearcats were the clear victor by a 50-28 margin over the Lincoln Northeast Rockets. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Brynna Renard and Jayla Merrill certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Renard dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds, while Merrill posted five points in addition to five boards and three steals. Renard has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times she's played.

Kearney's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Lincoln Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Kearney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-44 defeat against Omaha Westside on the 28th. Lincoln Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
