Tarboro took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Everything went their way against the North Edgecombe Warriors as the Tarboro Vikings made off with a 46-29 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Erica Jones, who scored seven runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kharizma Gary, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs.
North Edgecombe dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
