Skyview has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will challenge the Gila Bend Gila Monsters at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Skyview beat Tohono O'Odham 53-47.
Trevion Rude was a one-man wrecking crew for Skyview as he dropped a double-double on 35 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Rude has scored at least 25% of Skyview's points.
Meanwhile, Gila Bend was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past Telesis Prep 60-21 on the road.
Skyview's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Gila Bend, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Skyview was able to grind out a solid victory over Gila Bend when the teams last played back in November of 2022, winning 54-45. Does Skyview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gila Bend turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
