Despite the loss, Prince George's Christian Academy had strong showings from Wisdom Carter, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 18 points, and Grant Fort, who posted six points and five rebounds. Carter has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.
Meanwhile, Miller School of Albemarle was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Tandem Friends 88-53. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 28 points or more this season.
Miller School of Albemarle's win came from a few key players Prince George's Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaiden Hunter, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 17 points and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Amare Long, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.
Miller School of Albemarle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Miller School of Albemarle pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.5 points. As for Prince George's Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Prince George's Christian Academy and Miller School of Albemarle are some of the highest-scoring teams around. The Flyers haven't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60 points per game. However, it's not like Miller School of Albemarle struggles in that department as they've been averaging 81.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Prince George's Christian Academy and Miller School of Albemarle were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but Prince George's Christian Academy came up empty-handed after a 53-52 defeat. Thankfully for the Flyers, Ryan Crotty (who went 8-for-19 en route to 25 points and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
