Eudora extended the longest winning streak in Frontier this week by beating Tonganoxie, 31-10. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Cardinals.
Eudora took down the Chieftains 31-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Andrew Ballock ran for 78 yards in the win.
Noah Cardiff was the best wideout in the league this week as DeSoto lost to Gregg Webb's team. Cardiff tallied two receptions for 36 yards. Zach Griffiths helped DeSoto's passing attack out by catching two balls for 24 yards.
Gabe Cleveland was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 91 yards as the Cardinals lost to the Cardinals.
DeSoto's Corbin Clark and Griffiths have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Frontier in both passing and receiving yards. Clark has thrown for 1046 yards this season, while Griffiths, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 33 catches for 437 yards. Ballock from Eudora leads the league in rushing with 918 yards.
The Cardinals' Ballock is a mere 82 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Eudora takes on the Wildcats. The Cardinals have allowed 93 points this season, while Louisburg has given up 132. Eudora allowed 10 points last week as it bested Tonganoxie.
Gary Griffin's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,976 from 4,284. The improvement was the result of 23-7 victory over Field Kindley last week.
