The Front Range Baptist Falcons pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-61 to Denver Jewish Day. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Front Range Baptist in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Front Range Baptist still got an impressive performance from Alex Prelog, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. Prelog is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last three games he's played. Mark Sutton was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Denver Jewish Day had a senior duo take command as Keenan Winnerman almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds and Lev Friedman scored 25 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Friedman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Solly Bielsky, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Front Range Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Denver Jewish Day, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist will challenge the Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Colony Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Falcons are ranked 132nd). Denver Jewish Day will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Buffaloes at 5:30 p.m. on February 1st. Bishop Machebeuf has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 832 points over their last 11 matches.
