They had to suffer through a rough 72-39 loss at the hands of Victory Baptist Academy. Lewisburg Baptist Academy has struggled against Victory Baptist Academy recently, as their game on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Lewisburg Baptist Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Elijah Brookman, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and two steals, and Dylan Wykle who scored 16 points. Brookman also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Lewisburg Baptist Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Victory Baptist Academy racked up 15 assists.
Victory Baptist Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Hunt out in front who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Hunt hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Landon Cormican was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Lewisburg Baptist Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3. As for Victory Baptist Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewisburg Baptist Academy will take on Beth Haven Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Morgantown Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Morgantown Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
