After two games on the road, Caldwell is heading back home. They will take on the Smithville Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Smithville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Caldwell, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Caldwell earned a 49-41 win over Giddings.
Meanwhile, Smithville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 15th straight loss. They were outmatched by Taylor at home and fell 88-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Caldwell is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-16 record this season. As for Smithville, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-19.
