The Bulloch Academy Gators will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Brookstone Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bulloch Academy comes in on 11 and Brookstone on five.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bulloch Academy walked away with it. They blew past the Bulldogs 35-0 at home. Considering Bulloch Academy has won eight matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Isaiah Smart was on fire: he rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Another player making a difference was Danye Garvin, who rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Brookstone narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past St. Anne-Pacelli 13-10.
It was another big night for Lane Cannon, who rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Cannon hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Bulloch Academy pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.7 points per game. As for Brookstone, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
