The Kaiser Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Moanalua Menehune at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kaiser has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
Last Thursday, Kaiser was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to Farrington.
Meanwhile, even though Roosevelt scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Moanalua still came out on top. Moanalua took their contest against Roosevelt 65-57. The win was some much needed relief for Moanalua as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Gavin Pommerenk was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Isaiah Kimbrough was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Kaiser's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-17. As for Moanalua, their win bumped their record up to 8-18.
Kaiser was dealt a bruising 71-37 defeat at the hands of Moanalua in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Kaiser, Skylar Miyasato (who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
