Basketball Recap: First Christian Now 12-2 over Last 14 Games

If Redeemer Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played First Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Reagan Davis. The First Christian Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the Redeemer Christian Lions on Friday thanks in part to Davis, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of First Christian's points.

Adrianna Graham was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 boards. She has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava Gibson, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Selena Martin, who scored 11 points.

First Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Redeemer Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

First Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-36 defeat against Open Bible Christian on the 3rd. As for Redeemer Christian, they will take on Countryside Christian on Thursday.
