Opp is 7-2 against the Gamecocks since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Opp Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the New Brockton Gamecocks at 5:30 p.m. Opp is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses.
Opp pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to McKenzie on the road by a decisive 73-55 margin. Opp was down 60-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dorian Harris, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Reed Adams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, New Brockton's game on Tuesday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The contest between them and Zion Chapel wasn't particularly close, with New Brockton falling 57-40. With that defeat, New Brockton now have a three game overall losing streak to go with their drought on the road.
