Ansonia hasn't had much luck against Marion Local recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will welcome the Flyers at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
While Ansonia's win against Houston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-1.

Lander Shives and Kam Ingle made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Shives tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Ingle didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ansonia is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-6 otherwise. At bat, Shives went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI, while Ingle went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Shives has posted since April 1st.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Asher Shives, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Marion Local owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against New Bremen by a score of 4-0.
Not much got past Parker Hess, who gave up just a hit to keep New Bremen off the board. Hess has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Heitkamp, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
Marion Local's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Ansonia, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
