The victory was just what American Leadership Academy - West Foothills needed coming off of a 73-29 loss in their prior game.
American Leadership Academy - West Foothills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Iziic Morales, who scored 14 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Zach Ramos, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Tonopah Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sir-Izzik Sanchez-Caldwell, who scored 13 points. Owen Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
American Leadership Academy - West Foothills' victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Tonopah Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy - West Foothills will take on River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. River Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Tonopah Valley, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
