This season hasn't been kind to the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls, who are still winless after their fourth match. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 87-63 walloping at the hands of Imagine School at North Port on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that LaBelle has lost by exactly 24 points.
Despite the loss, LaBelle still got an impressive performance from Alan King jr, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The game was King jr's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Alexander, who scored 12 points.
Even though they lost, LaBelle were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Imagine School at North Port only racked up 22.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Imagine School at North Port to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zahmir Jackson, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least 25% of Imagine School at North Port's points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Woods, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds.
LaBelle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Imagine School at North Port, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
LaBelle will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Placid at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lake Placid focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Imagine School at North Port, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
