Foard found their leader in underclassman Jessica Bailey, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Bailey has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Kinzer Abernathy was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Foard is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Statesville, their defeat was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.
Foard will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lincoln is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
