Widefield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Pueblo South Colts 6-2 on Saturday. The score was close at the half, but the Gladiators pulled away in the second half with three  goals.
 Their offense was hitting Pueblo South from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. 
 Trevin Stemler led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
 Pueblo South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Widefield will head out to  square off against The Vanguard School  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Pueblo South, they will look to defend their home pitch  on Tuesday against Pueblo Centennial  at 5:00  p.m. Pueblo South has given up an average of 3 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
