The Eastern Hancock Royals put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Shenandoah 52-10 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-2.
Eastern Hancock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Makenzie O'Neal, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Ellie Meyer was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Shenandoah's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haley Hughes, who scored 1 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Hughes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Shenandoah struggled to work together and finished the game with only a assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Eastern Hancock racked up 11.
Eastern Hancock's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Shenandoah, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Hancock will take on Wapahani at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wapahani is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Shenandoah, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Frankton at 7:30 p.m.
