The Superior Spartans will face off against the Chippewa Falls Cardinals at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Superior will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Superior proved they can win big  on Friday (they won by six) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a  run and slipped past Rice Lake  7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Spartans have posted  since April 12th.

 Arianna Robillard made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Melania Luostari, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Chippewa Falls faced off against Stevens Point on Saturday. The Cardinals took  a  5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Chippewa Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Superior, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
